About the event

A native of Stamford Connecticut, Richard has been playing and writing music for over 35 years. A founding member of Connecticut’s now defunct but fondly-remembered Rafter Bats, Richard writes songs in a distinctly American style. Though brought up on The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, his songwriting voice is distinctly his own. He lives now in Eastham Massachusetts on outer Cape Cod.

His first album, "Caught In The Act" was released independently on April 1, 2014. In August of 2018, Richard released his 2nd album "About This Big", 11 new original tunes recorded with his band The Occasional Playboys. In October 2022 he released two new singles, The Greatest Song Ever Written and When You Don’t Win. In May of 2023 he re-released a 5-song group of early recordings titled Lost Dogs.
